Happy Leap Year 2012 Sioux City!

So, what are you doing to celebrate this once every 4 years occasion?  So far, I have spent my day in a bit of a fog.  I stayed up working on this site till 3 AM last night trying to get it ready to go live with my old address again and just working general web stuff to get this site optimized.  You know, boring internet stuff.  I don't recommend staying up that late if you can avoid it.  I didn't want to sleep till noon today so I forced myself to wake up kind of early still so I can avoid living my life like a vampire.  

I lost my Mom 3 1/2 years ago back in June of 2008 and I can't help but think of her today.  Before I was born, my Mom gave birth to a baby girl.  My sister's name was Mary.  Unfortunately, she didn't survive child birth as she and my Mom had become very sick.  Her birthday was on a February 29th (a leap year).  I think a lot of people had forgotten about this over the years, but Mom always quietly remembered her little girl on this day.  She always appreciated it when I let her know I was thinking of her on Mary's birthday.  So Mom, I'm thinking of you today.  I love you and miss you so much!

Me at a very early age.  Apparently I wasn't always the perfect angel I was led to believe.  The gun rack in the background cracks me up a little now. My step Dad was a big hunter, but it looks kind of funny in this picture now (just because I'm a baby around all those guns).
