I will be helping out with a fundraiser on April 9, 2011 benefiting the Mercy Medical Birth Center/Child Advocacy Program here in Sioux City.  I've been told the Birthing Center will be purchasing new glider chairs and the Advocacy Program will be purchasing new toys and such for their waiting room as well as other needs.  Admittedly, I don't know a lot about these programs, but anything that helps children in my opinion is worth supporting.  If you would like to see what's taking place, feel free to visit the Girls Inc. building on April 9, 2011 at 500 Main Street, Sioux City, Iowa from 11 AM until 2 PM that day.  I've been told they will have clowns and other activities for kids.  They've done this each year for a number of years now and from what I've been told, it's a good time!  They're expecting 150-200 kids down there (if not more) so I'd expect a lot of fun activities.

I'll be doing my photographer thing while down there.  The word on the street is that they will have clowns down there getting their photos taken with the kids.  Cost per photo is $2.50 each with profits benefiting these causes. Hope to see you there!
