Thanks to the Sioux City Camera Club for giving me the stage tonight!I have been stressing out for the better part of the last two weeks trying to put together a presentation that I thought would be worthy of a room full of talented photographers. In the end, I think it went well. I gave a presentation on Making the Most out of Travel Photography. The presentation highlighted Ireland Photography and touched on some of the key things I focus on with travel photography such as: Architecture, Foreign signs and Landscape photography. I discussed some of the important things to plan for when traveling to foreign countries such as: knowing the primary language of that country, things to pack when traveling, what to wear, etc. The presentation included select photos I've taken while traveling to destinations like: Ireland, New York City, San Diego, Crater Lake National Park - Oregon, Puerto Plata - Dominican Republic, and even pictures from right here in Sioux City. I also showed some before and after photos to highlight the fact that you should always take lots of pictures when traveling abroad. Even if the picture doesn't look amazing to you then, you never know how you might want to manipulate the photo later in photo editing software like Photoshop or something. I was amazed at the number of pictures I liked now that I didn't care for 3 years ago when we visit Ireland. Fresh eyes will make old pictures seem new and exciting again. I was able to run some of those old photos through Photoshop and turn them into pictures I actually want to make into prints. Who knew? I've seen the Sioux City Camera Club group reach numbers as high as 30-40 people attending on a night (if not more) so tonight was pretty tame in comparison as I only had to present to 20 people. They were super kind during and after the presentation. Thanks again for letting me share with you all! Here are a few of the images I shared tonight at the club.

The point of showing the before and after photos of these was to show what could be done after the fact, even if the picture wasn't stellar to begin with. There were a lot more photos, but this should give you a good idea. If you're interested in seeing more, please let me know. Thanks! In closing, here's the group I had the privilege of speaking to this evening. Thanks again!
